S.P.A.C.E. P.E.T.S.

S.P.A.C.E. P.E.T.S. is an acronym used to break down a passage of the Bible.

  • Start by writing these questions down on a piece of notebook paper.
  • Then read the passage that you have decided to read for the day.
  • Read this passage without thinking of any of the questions. If you need to understand it better, reread the passage until you understand what you am reading.
  • After you have read the passage, begin to answer the questions.
  • First, start with “Is there any sin to confess?”. You will read the passage again and write down what sin needs to be confessed based on the passage.
  • Continue these steps until you have answered each question.

Not every question will have an answer depending on the passage.

As you are reading scripture ask yourself:

Is there a…

S.in to confess?

P.romise to claim?

A.ttitude to change?

C.ommand to obey?

E.xample to follow?

P.rayer to pray?

E.rror to avoid?

T.ruth to believe?

S.omething to praise God for?
